Artificial Corn Carp Bait Floating (Pack of 30)

Product Details

This artificial corn carp bait copies a single grain of maize and floats, so it sits up off the bottom where feeding carp find it fast. Each lot holds 30 pieces, which is enough to rig, lose and replace grains through a full season of freshwater sessions without running short.

Fake corn solves the main problem with real sweetcorn on the hook: it does not split, wash out or get stripped by small nuisance fish. A floating grain also counteracts the weight of a small hook, so the hookbait rises slowly and settles in a natural, critically balanced way over silt, gravel or light weed. Many carp anglers fish it on a hair rig, either as a single bright grain or tipped onto a real bait to add buoyancy and a strong visual cue.

Grass carp feed hard on vegetable baits, and a maize-style grain is a natural match for them as well as for common carp. Fish one grain over a bed of loose feed such as real corn or particles, so the plastic grain looks like part of the meal but stays on the hair long after the free offerings are gone. Because the grain does not soften, you can leave a rig out for long periods, recast it many times and use the same piece again on the next trip. Thread it onto a hair with a baiting needle, add a stop, and trim or stack grains to tune how fast the rig rises and settles.

• Floating corn grain lifts the hookbait off the bottom so carp see it quickly
• Lot of 30 pieces lets you replace lost or damaged grains without rationing
• Maize-like shape matches loose-fed corn and particle beds
• Plastic grain stays on the hair rig through long waits and repeated casts
• Suits grass carp and other freshwater carp that feed on vegetable baits
• Stack or tip grains to balance the weight of the hook
