This curly tail jig pairs a 3.5g jig head with a 6cm sickle tail soft bait, giving you a small, ready-to-fish lure for light spinning gear. That means the lure works on a slow, steady wind, on the drop and on short hops, so one bait covers most of the water you fish.

A curly tail jig is one of the simplest lures to use well. Cast it out, close the bail and count as it sinks. When it touches bottom, note the count, so you can return to the same depth on the next cast. To swim it, reel slowly just fast enough to feel the tail thump through the rod tip. To hop it, lift the rod tip a short way, let the jig fall back on a tight line and watch for a tap or a sudden slack line. Many bites come as the bait falls, so stay in touch with it.
