Fish Skin Sabiki Rig Night Fishing

Product Details

This fish skin sabiki rig is a string hook dressed with fish skin and a red luminous glow, made for night fishing. Each hook on the string carries a strip of fish skin that flashes like the scales of a small baitfish, while the red glow keeps the hooks visible after dark and in deep or coloured water.

A sabiki works by imitation. Several small hooks sit on short branches off one main line, and each one looks like a tiny fish or a scrap of food. Tie a weight to the bottom end, lower the rig to where the fish are, then lift the rod tip in short, gentle jigs and let it settle again. The skin flutters and the glow pulses with every lift, which brings in schools of baitfish that often hook up two or three at a time.

Charge the glow under a torch or in daylight before you fish, and recharge it between drops at night. Use the bait you catch live or cut it for bigger fish. Keep the string straight on its card between sessions so the branches do not tangle, and rinse it in fresh water after each trip.

• Real fish skin on each hook gives a natural scale flash that baitfish follow
• Red luminous glow keeps the rig visible at night and in dark water
• Multi-hook string can bring up several fish on one drop
• Small single hooks suit the soft mouths of baitfish
• Glow recharges under a torch, so it keeps working through a night session
• Light jigging lift is all it takes to make the skin flutter
