This NED hook is a NED jig head with an obtuse angle hook and an edge corner head shape, in a black pit finish, made for bass and mandarin fish. It comes 10 pieces per pack.

The NED rig is a simple finesse setup: a short soft bait on a light head, fished slowly along the bottom. What makes it work is the way it sits. When the jig touches down, the head lies on its flat side and the bait stands up at an angle, so the tail floats and moves with the smallest drift of water or twitch of the rod. To a fish it looks like a small creature feeding or resting on the bottom, which is hard to ignore when fish are slow, cold or pressured.

The edge corner shape of this head helps it settle on its side and gives a little tilt as it is dragged, so the bait rocks and wobbles over stones and sand. The obtuse angle where the hook leaves the head changes how the point sits behind the bait and helps keep the soft lure in a natural line along the shank. The black pit finish keeps the hook low-key in clear water.

To rig it, thread a short soft bait onto the hook and push it snug to the head so it sits straight. Cast, let it fall on a slack line, then keep a light tension as it lands.
