NED Rig Hook Painted Jig Head 1.5g-10g

Product Details

This ned rig hook is a colourful painted jig head with a 4X strong penetration hook and an anti-falling auxiliary hook that keeps the soft bait in place. It comes in six weights, 1.5g, 2.5g, 3.5g, 5g, 7g and 10g, so one style of head covers calm shallow flats as well as deeper water, wind and current.

The ned rig is one of the simplest finesse methods in lure fishing: a small jig head and a short soft bait, worked slowly along the bottom. It catches fish on days when bigger, faster lures get ignored, because the small bait and gentle movement look easy to eat. The painted head adds a touch of colour at the front of the bait, and the 4X strong hook resists opening up when a good fish pulls hard near cover.

Use the lightest head that still lets you feel the bottom. The 1.5g and 2.5g heads give a slow, gliding fall in shallow water, 3.5g and 5g are all-round weights, and 7g or 10g keep contact in depth and current. Cast, let the bait settle, then drag or hop it with small lifts of the rod tip and long pauses.

• Colourful painted head adds a visible hot spot to the bait
• 4X strong hook resists opening under a hard pull
• Strong penetration point sets the hook on light bites
• Anti-falling auxiliary hook holds the soft bait in place
• Six weights from 1.5g to 10g cover shallow to deep water
