This spinner jig lure joins a fish-style jig head to a rotation spinner blade and a barbed hook, giving you the flash of a spinner and the sink of a jig in one lure. It comes in 3.5g, 7g and 10g, and each lot holds 4 pieces, so you can carry a light, a mid and a heavy option on the same trip.

A plain jig relies on its shape and the way you move the rod. Add a turning blade and the lure sends out flash and vibration on every retrieve, which helps fish find it in stained water, in poor light or when they are spread out and not feeding hard. The barbed hook holds a fish once it is on, and it also keeps a soft trailer in place if you choose to add one.

Use the 3.5g size for shallow water and a slow, high retrieve; 7g is the all-round choice; 10g casts furthest and gets down fast in wind or deeper water. Cast, count the lure down, then reel just fast enough to keep the blade turning. A lift-and-drop retrieve also works, as the blade flutters on the fall, which is when many fish strike.
