Spoon Jig 3.5g (Pack of 5)

Product Details

This spoon jig is a 3.5g beginner lure with a single hook, sold in a lot of 5 pieces in colourful finishes.

A spoon jig is one of the easiest lures to learn with. It needs no rigging and no extra bait: tie it on and fish. Wound back steadily, it wobbles and flashes like a small baitfish. Worked up and down, it darts on the lift and flutters on the fall, which is when many fish strike.

At 3.5g the spoon suits a light spinning rod and fine line. From the bank, cast out, let it sink to the depth you want, then wind back slowly with short pauses. To jig it, let it reach the bottom, lift the rod tip sharply, then let it fall back on a semi-slack line. Watch the line for a tick or a sudden stop and set the hook. From a boat or a pier, you can drop it straight down and work it in short hops near the bottom.

The single hook is easy to remove and snags less than a treble around rocks and weed, which helps new anglers lose fewer lures. With 5 colourful pieces in the lot, you can change colour as light and water clarity change, and still have spares.
