This stand up jig head has a roly poly head that rests upright on the bottom, a strong hook and a 14g weight for bounce jigging.

When the jig settles, the head tips the hook point up instead of letting it lie flat. That keeps the soft bait raised off the bottom where fish can see it, and it also cuts snags on rocks and weed. Rig a soft bait, cast, and let the jig reach the bottom. Then work it with short bounces and long pauses, so the bait stands up and wavers between hops. Most bites come while the jig sits still, so watch the line during each pause. At 14g the jig reaches the bottom quickly and stays in contact in moderate current.
