Texas Rig Bead Night Fishing 5mm 7.5mm

Product Details

This Texas rig bead is a small block bead, or lure ball, in 5mm and 7.5mm sizes and a choice of colours, sold as a night fishing accessory. It slides onto your line between the sliding sinker and the hook, and it does a few small jobs that make a Texas rig fish better.

First, it protects your knot. A sliding weight that slams into the hook eye on every cast can weaken the knot over a day of fishing, and the bead takes that hit instead. Second, it adds a click. When the sinker knocks against the bead as you hop or drag the bait, it makes a small sound that can draw attention in murky water or after dark. Third, a coloured bead adds a spot of contrast at the head of the bait.

Use the 5mm size with lighter weights and finesse soft baits, and step up to 7.5mm with heavier sinkers and bigger baits. The same beads also work on a Carolina rig, where the bead sits between the sliding sinker and the swivel.

• Sits between sinker and hook to protect your knot from impact
• Clicks against the sinker to add sound as you work the bait
• 5mm and 7.5mm sizes match light and heavier sliding weights
• Colour choice adds a contrast point at the head of the bait
• Works on Texas and Carolina rigs, day or night
