Texas Rig Hook Wacky Drop Shot

Product Details

This texas rig hook is a soft bait hook made for rigging soft worm baits on the classic Texas rig, and it also suits wacky and downshot (drop shot) rigs. It also works as a fishing lure accessory for jig head and buzzbait set-ups, so one hook style covers several soft plastic techniques.

On a Texas rig, thread the point into the nose of the soft bait, push it out a short way down, turn the hook and bury the point back in the body so the bait sits straight and weedless. A sliding sinker above the hook takes it to the bottom, where you can drag or hop it through weed, brush and rock with fewer snags. For a wacky rig, hook the bait through the middle so both ends flutter as it falls. On a downshot rig, nose-hook the bait above a weight to hold it off the bottom.

• Texas rig set-up lets you bury the point for a weedless soft bait in cover
• Works for wacky rigs, so the bait falls slowly with both ends moving
• Suits downshot rigs to hold a soft bait just above the bottom
• Made for soft worm baits, the standard bait for these finesse rigs
• Listed for jig head and buzzbait builds, so spares cover more set-ups
