Floating Soft Bait 8cm 1.8g (Pack of 5)

Product Details

This floating soft bait is an 8cm, 1.8g lure made from TPR, with a swallow tail and colourful glitter. The flexible tails extend out behind the body, and each pack holds 5 pieces.

Most soft baits sink. This one floats, and that changes how you can fish it. On a light jig head, the body rises tail first between hops, so the tail lifts off the bottom and stays in view instead of lying flat in weed or silt. On a drop shot or a Carolina style rig, the float keeps the bait above the weight, where fish feeding off the bottom can see it. Rigged weightless on a light hook, it drifts slowly in the current or sits just under the surface over weed beds.

The swallow tail splits into two flexible tips, and each tip flutters on its own. At slow speed they quiver; on a twitch they kick out and back. That small, lively action suits pressured fish that ignore bigger lures. TPR is soft and stretchy, so the bait bends naturally in a fish's mouth, and it often survives several bites before you need to change it. The glitter catches light as the bait turns, which adds flash in clear water and on bright days.

At 8cm and 1.8g, this bait suits light spinning rods and fine line. Use a small hook so the float is not lost under too much metal. Keep spare baits in their own bag, away from other soft plastics, so they hold their shape.
