Fork Tail Swimbait Open Belly 13cm 8.4g (Pack of 4)

Product Details

This fork tail swimbait is a 13cm, 8.4g soft lure with an open belly and a forked tail. Each pack holds 4 pieces.

A fork tail moves differently from a paddle tail. Instead of a hard kick, the two thin tips flutter and shiver, so the bait looks like a baitfish gliding and darting rather than swimming hard. That subtle action works well when fish are cautious or the water is clear. It also means the bait keeps moving on the fall, so fish often take it as it sinks.

The open belly is a slot for the hook. Push a wide gap offset hook or a weighted swimbait hook through the nose, then lay the shank into the belly so the point rests against the back. The slot lets the soft body fold out of the way when a fish bites, which helps the hook find its mark. Rigged this way, the bait slides over weed and past snags. Fish it with a slow, steady wind, then add twitches and pauses so it darts and glides. At 13cm, it gives a long, slim profile that bigger predators notice.

• Body folds on the bite so the hook point finds its mark
• 13cm long, slim profile draws bigger predators
• 8.4g soft body glides and darts on twitches and pauses
• Pack of 4 pieces gives spares for torn baits
