Paddle Tail Swimbait Rainbow PVC 9cm 5g (Pack of 5)

Product Details

This paddle tail swimbait is a 9cm, 5g soft fish bait in rainbow PVC with a T tail and a groove along its back. Each pack holds 5 pieces.

The T tail is the engine of the lure. As you wind, the flat paddle catches water and kicks from side to side, which makes the whole body roll and thump like a swimming baitfish. That action starts at slow speed, so a straight, steady retrieve is often all you need. Fish feel the vibration through their lateral line before they see the bait, which helps in stained water and low light.

The back groove is there for the hook. Rig the bait on a weighted swimbait hook or an offset hook and let the point sit in the groove, close to the body. The plastic covers the point until a fish bites down, so you can swim it through weed, over snags and past timber with fewer hang-ups. On an open jig head, it works well along clean bottoms: cast, let it sink, then wind slowly with an occasional lift.

The rainbow finish shows several colours as the body rolls, which adds flash without looking unnatural. At 9cm and 5g, the bait suits medium spinning tackle and covers shallow flats to mid depths. Five pieces in a pack give you spares when a toothy fish tears one.
