Red Head Lure 10cm 7g (Pack of 4)

Product Details

This red head lure is a soft bait with a red head and a white body, shaped as a bionic simulation fish. It is 10cm long, weighs 7g, and comes in a lot of 4 pieces.

Red head and white body is one of the oldest colour patterns in lure fishing, and it is still a standard in many tackle boxes. The idea is simple. The white body shows up well in most water, from clear to slightly coloured, and reads as the pale belly of a baitfish. The red head gives a strong contrast point at the front of the bait, which can suggest gills or an injured fish and gives a predator a clear spot to aim for. Many anglers reach for this pattern when they are not sure what the fish want, because it works across a wide range of light and water conditions.

The bionic body copies the outline of a real small fish, and the soft material moves naturally in the water and feels like food when a fish bites, so it is less likely to let go at once. At 10cm it sits in the middle of the size range: big enough to show up, small enough for a wide range of predators.

Rig it on a jig head or a weighted swimbait hook with the body kept straight. Cast, let it sink to the depth you want, then wind back slowly and steadily. Add short pauses, twitches or lifts of the rod tip to make it dart and drop like a weak baitfish.
