Soft Plastic Swimbait T Tail TPR 8.5cm 5.2g (Pack of 4)

Product Details

This soft plastic swimbait is an 8.5cm, 5.2g fish-shaped bait in TPR, with a T tail that kicks from the first turn of the reel handle. TPR is a soft, stretchy compound: it bends and springs back rather than tearing, so one bait can last through more bites, more casts and more pulls off snags than a softer body would.

The T tail is the engine. On a steady retrieve it swings from side to side and sends a rolling wobble through the body, which looks like a small baitfish swimming at an easy pace. That action starts at slow speed, so you can fish the bait very slowly near the bottom in cold water, and it keeps working at a faster pace when fish are chasing in warm water.

Rig it on a jig head and you have one of the most versatile set-ups in lure fishing. Cast it out, let it sink on a tight line, and then choose a retrieve: a steady wind at mid-depth, a slow roll that keeps the jig head close to the bottom, or a lift-and-drop that makes the tail kick on the way up and flutter on the way down. For weed and timber, thread it on an offset hook so the point sits flush with the back and the bait comes through cover with fewer snags.

At 8.5cm the bait sits in a middle size that suits many predatory fish, and the 5.2g body weight helps it cast on light spinning tackle. Make sure the bait sits straight on the hook so it swims true and does not twist your line. Check the tail after each fish and keep the bait on as long as the tail still kicks. Each lot holds 4 pieces.
