Spider Lure Soft Bait 3.5cm 1.3g (Pack of 5)

Product Details

This spider lure is a 3.5cm, 1.3g soft bait made from flexible PVC+TPR, shaped to look like a real spider and finished with laser sequins that flash in the light. It comes as a lot of 5 pieces, so you have spares when a bait tears or snags in cover.

Spiders and other land insects fall into the water all summer from overhanging trees, grass banks, reeds and bridges. Fish that patrol the edges learn to watch for that small splash and the twitching legs that follow. A small, light spider bait copies that moment. At only 1.3g it lands softly, which matters in shallow, clear water where a heavy lure can spook fish before it settles.

The flexible PVC+TPR body is soft enough to move with the slightest rod-tip twitch, so the legs flex and quiver even when the bait sits almost still. The laser sequins add a small flash that helps fish pick out the bait against a bright surface or in dappled shade under trees.

Fish it on light tackle. A light spinning rod and thin line let you cast a bait this small with accuracy and give it the most natural fall. Rig it on a small hook that suits its size, then cast tight to the bank, under branches or next to weed beds. Let it sit, give it a short twitch, pause, and repeat. Most takes come during the pause, so watch the line and strike on any small tick or sideways move.

Because the bait is light, it also works under a small float or on a fly rod for anglers who like to drift insect patterns along a current seam. Keep the spare pieces in a closed box out of the sun so the soft plastic keeps its shape.

• 3.5cm insect profile matches the small spiders that fall into the water from banks and trees
• 1.3g weight lands softly, so it does not spook fish in shallow, clear water
• Flexible PVC+TPR body lets the legs quiver on the smallest twitch for a lifelike action
• Laser sequins add a small flash that helps fish find the bait in shade or glare
• Lot of 5 pieces gives you spares for snags and torn baits
