Product Details
This noisy topwater lure is a hard popper with steel balls built in, so it rattles as well as pops. It is 7cm long, weighs 8.5g and comes as 1 piece.
Sound is one of the main ways fish find food on the surface, more so in low light, choppy water or stained water. Each jerk of the rod makes the popper face throw a splash and a pop, and the steel balls inside knock against the body at the same time. Together they send out a loud, busy signal that can pull fish up from below and from the sides. At 8.5g the lure casts well on a light to medium spinning rod, and the 7cm body is a size most predators will take. Work it with sharp pops and short pauses, then let it rest for a moment near cover. If fish swirl but do not take, slow down and leave longer gaps.
